While in Seoul this summer, Prof. David Kim recently met up with Anthropology senior Mehnaz Sultana, who is currently enrolled in a summer program at Hanyang University, in Seoul, South Korea. While there, she plans to conduct preliminary fieldwork on her Senior Project on K-pop.
Prof. Jason Pine was the keynote speaker at the workshop, "Mafia Culture: Between Enchantment, Justification, and Cultural Commodities" (July 5-6). The event was sponsored by the Graduate School for the Humanities, Cologne, Germany
