Prof. Shaka McGlotten presented a paper titled, "Black Data: Queer of Color Critique Meets Network Culture Studies" at The Center for the Humanities (CUNY Graduate Center) conference titled Queer Circuits in Archival Times: Experimentation and Critique of Networked Data in May 2016.
Prof. Ragnhild Utheim presented a paper on a panel dealing with innovative pedagogy titled, "Combined Classrooms: Exploring the Shared Learning Experiences of College Students Inside and Outside Prison." Presented at the Eastern Sociological Society Annual Conference in Boston, MA (March 2016).
She co-organized a panel titled, "Teaching on the Inside: Toward Pedagogy of Possibilities." She presented a paper titled, "Working Notes from Teaching in Prison: Purpose, Pedagogy, and Possibilities."
