When: Tuesday Dec. 11th from 6-8 PM Where: Social Sciences 1032 Anthro/MS Club is holding horror movie screenings every Monday and Wednesday throughout October at 7:30 PM in the Anthro/MS student lounge (Social Sciences 1032). This Monday they will be screening the South Korean monster movie hit, The Host (2006). All majors welcome!

Anthropology juniors Rain Haluska and Alison Robeson did a great job as moderators. Paris Beato (Anthropology and Media Studies double-major) and Best Anthropology Senior (Class of 2018): "Dancing to a Precarious Rhythm: Embodiment in a New York Restaurant" Samantha Bruehert (Anthropology major, Gender Studies minor): "Our Journeys Over the Rainbow" Leah Ashton-Facin (Anthropology and Media Studies double-major): "Cyber Chic: The Beauty, Design, and Labor Practices of Independent Fashion Designers of Color" Leah and her primary research informant, fashion designer Sanjay Guman! Anthropology/Media Studies Club is collaborating with Green Team to bring culture jamming activists The Yes Men to Purchase! They will give a talk and Q&A, then lead a workshop on media activism, called The Yes Lab. All are welcome! Food will be provided

Anthro Club 'lounge in the lounge' was a great success! Students and MSA/Anthro professor Shaka McGlotten (photo above; posing with Anthro Club Secretary Rain Haluska) did makeup and facial masks to destress before finals week.
