Prof. Ragnhild Utheim presented a paper on a panel dealing with innovative pedagogy titled, "Combined Classrooms: Exploring the Shared Learning Experiences of College Students Inside and Outside Prison." Presented at the Eastern Sociological Society Annual Conference in Boston, MA (March 2016).

Presented at The Fifth National Conference for Higher Education in Prison: Strategies for Action, University of Pittsburgh (November 2015) Prof. Pine's current research and photographs were the subject of a feature article in German magazine, 032c, entitled, 'Meth Modernity."
Prof. Pine participated in an exhibition entitled Chemical Species at Princeton University’s Aaron Burr Hall. All of the installations were reviewed in "Chemical Species: From the Surreal to the Sublime,” published in the journal Anthropology Now.
Prof. Pine was interviewed about his research on Neapolitan organized crime and popular music for an article, “The Most Dangerous Music in the World is—Surprise—Made by Angry Young Men," which appeared in Atlas Obscura.
Prof. Lorraine Plourde was recently interviewed on WABE, the Atlanta area NPR affiliate, on her research on cat cafes in Japan.
Prof. Plourde gave an invited lecture on background music for white collar workers in Japan at the Institute of Comparative Culture at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan on January 29th.
